Why do I have a Poetry Page?
Although I'm sure there are some more in depth answers which speak volumes of my nature, I'll address the more direct reasons of which I am aware. I find Poetry provides me a means to sort ideas and strip away layers of confusion as I delve towards a focus of thought. Although the specific idea underlying a particular poem isn't necessarily the goal, that focus is often a goal for me. I have a million philosphies of life (no doubt a future page) and one of them details how excessively complex a concern structure we build. Breaking down thoughts, concerns and their ilk into simplified pieces typically provides an enhanced relaxation. As such I pursue the reading and writing of poetry to help me achieve that. I also find that writing the poetry teaches me many things about myself and my world. I hope that somewhere amongst these pages you find something which is as enjoyable for you as it is for me. Live well and be excellent.
