Pats Official Camp News

The New England Patriots will celebrate their 44th Training Camp by opening a new era.  It will be the first Foxboro Training camp held in their new accommodations at Gilette Stadium!  Another first will be morning and evening sessions on most days.

Start Date: - 7/23/03
First Public Practice - tbd

Camp Ends: ?? (August 21-ish)

Camp generally involves 'two-a-days' which for we out of the business means they usually practice twice daily, with a morning session starting at 9:00 a.m.  Practice will typically last for two hours before a break for lunch.  Allegedly, camp then will resumes in the evening at 6:00 p.m. for another two hour session. There will be no practice on the day following a preseason game.

The optimum time for signatures/autographs was after the afternoon session.  The new system requires some experience before such will be well understood.

In the event of inclement weather, practice is held indoors BUT it closed due to space limitations.

I'll next be at Camp: 2002 Unscheduled

What makes this section different from the previous?  Well in this section I load it with opinions and speculation whereas in the previous section I make a rough attempt at journalistic integrity.

When I can't attend (often) but can get reports from those who do attend, I include them here.  My thanks to John Clark and Mathew Brier for their excellent early camp reports in the past!
